Boho Glam Broadview Hotel Wedding
Guyssssss! It’s a new week, I’m feeling good, and I want to share some solid wedding inspiration!
I’m excited to share our Broadview Hotel wedding editorial that we shot last March in Toronto!
Wedding editorials are my favourite! Why? Because our team gets together with other wedding vendors in Toronto and we produce something that we dreamed up from scratch. How does the process work? Usually a few wedding friendors get together over a class of prosecco and a tasty snack and start talking. Usually the conversation turns to wedding trends and inspiration, and from there one of us will throw out a crazy idea and BAM, a shoot is born! I particularly love working with Paulina from Fete Floral because she understands my need to not recreate someone else’s ideas but to create our own. We usually think of ideas that are centred around a destination or an era, or even food!
This particular editorial was featured in print in the fall issue of Today’s Bride, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! We wanted to create a geometric design with some cosmic features that showcased the beautiful architectural history of the Broadview Hotel. The colours popped and so did the models!
A huge thanks to our amazing team, who showed up early, worked late and help put this great collaboration together! We’re only as strong as our team and I’m so proud of everyone! We absolutely could not have done this without the Broadview Hotel, and we’re so grateful that they chose partner with us on this!

Modern Wedding Inspiration at the Aga Khan Museum
By Alisha Chadee
Earlier this year, a group of wonderful vendors put our heads together and created a modern, elegant styled shoot at the Aga Khan Museum. The concept was simple – use tons of greenery, add touches of gold, and create a design that would make any fan of modern wedding design swoon.
Our stationery diva, Michelle, used touches of rose gold and white ink on heavy card stock and created a fresh, appealing stationery set full of eye-popping detail.
Our friends at Elisabeth and Beau outfitted our beautiful model, dolled up by Beauty by Sacha, with a stunning wedding gown encrusted in Swarovski crystals, with a gorgeous separate skirt. I loved both glam looks – perfectly versatile for a ceremony and formal reception. Our handsome male model wore a special suit designed by Esco Tailored Style. I especially loved the gorgeous black on black seared details – perfectly offset by the vibrant green blooms from our decor and floral vendor, Princess Decor.
Sinfully Sweet Co once again knocked my socks off with a stunning green and gold marbled cake display with lovely hand-made sugar floral details. Each specialty confection was delicious (as the entire team can attest) and absolutely stunning. Vintage Rentals Caledon provided the tables and decor rentals to bring it all together, with table top items provided by our friends at Plate Occasions.
Now what would any wedding be without entertainment? Our friends at Brent Miller Live and Alley Entertainment kept the mood light and fun with funky beats and great lighting. Brent and his band created a magical first dance scene in the Aga Khan Museum’s atrium space and we’re thrilled with how it turned out!
I’m thrilled with all of the beautiful details, like the calligraphy from Written by Love, and the creative shots obtained by Memory Video Productions and Tom Wang and his team. We’re so excited to share the details, already featured on EventSource’s blog, and we can’t wait to get this talented team together again to create more magic! A huge thank you to the staff at the Aga Khan Museum for hosting us and to all of our vendors for working with us to put this stunning shoot together!

Rose Gold Themed Style Shoot at Ashbridges Bay
A warm sunny day at Ashbridges Bay
Last week we had the pleasure of working with a number of amazing vendors on a rose gold themed style shoot at Ashbridges Bay. We collaborated with makeup artist Sonia Kang, photographer Thomas Zitnansky, florist Therese Guidolin, and Sinfully Sweet by Sonia J. With the combined efforts of these vendors and the entire Whim Event Coordination and Design team, the outcome was nothing short of stunning. The day was sunny and beautiful, and Ashbridges Bay was packed with people, all enjoying the gorgeous weather. The team arrived in the afternoon and quickly put together a simple, but stunning sweet table.
With the initial theme development by Whim, event coordinators Alisha and Michelle decided to execute their vision in a park-like setting at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto. The table decor and beautiful mock invitation made by Michelle was meticulously set up underneath a large oak tree near the beach, with Thomas Zitnansky expertly using the natural light to complement his photographs. One of the table setups included a soft rose coloured satin tablecloth with a delicate pink lace overlay. The second table setup featured a white satin tablecloth with a rose-sequined tablerunner down the front and sides of the table.
Despite the number of passersby and disruptive wind, the team of vendors managed to pull off a phenomenal shoot. The shoot was a wonderful experience, with many spectators stopping to say hello and ask about our shoot. By the end of the day, we all enjoyed some of the yummy sweets, had fun taking many photos, and had tons of ideas for our next collaboration. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, and we have many great photos for the new version of our website (coming soon!). Stay tuned for more pictures from this lovely styled shoot, and please check out our awesome team of vendors!
